The 20 MINUTE CHALLENGE that will change your life, seriously.

The 20 MINUTE CHALLENGE that will change your life, seriously.

This is where I give you the one thing you could do right now to set new habits in motion…..rubber meets the road style.

Procrastination: it’s what’s for dinner.

If you just got that one task done you would feel much better. Well here’s your chance. It’s Scientific, it’s proven brain science. It’s called “The pomodoro technique”. For all you Italians, yes, that means tomato. How is a tomato going to help me with procrastination and this nasty task I have been avoiding? Well I’ll tell you, it’s named after the kitchen timer that looks like a tomato. You set the timer for 20 minutes, you work on that task for ONLY 20 minutes and then stop when the timer goes off, then you immediately reward yourself with something fun (or chocolate) for 5 or 10 minutes. That’s it, simple, but magical. Work up to completing 2 pomodoros a day, think of what you could accomplish! I am doing one right now!

Try it and shoot me an email and tell me how it went! If it’s good I may post it. (With your permission of course)

This and other handy info about how your brain works and how to trick it into learning faster are all in the book by Barbara Oakley “Learning how to Learn”
